60beat Heart Rate Monitor App Reviews

Great for home workouts

Okay, so Im actually using this app on my iPad mini. Normally, I use my Polar H7 monitor strap that puts out heart rate information to devices via bluetooth or to old (and cheaper/easily available) 5.3khz (like Polars old T31 monitor straps). The H7 uses batteries quicker than the old straps (cause its also putting out bluetooth signal). With this app, I can use the Kyto Dongle plugged into my ipad mini. Nice big display of heart rate while I work out. The only Im not rating it five stars is because there are no options to setting alarms when you fall outside your preferred heart ranges.

Not working with iOS9!!!!!

It was ok before... Now I cannot even use it! When clicking on app logo it fails to launch...

No go on iOS9

Just not compatible with iOS9 apparently. Dead in the water after upgrade

Dead now that iOS 9 is out

LOVED this app until I updated to iOS 9. I had moved up to walking and running on a treadmill and was still doing my customized MAF workouts and loving the data I would get from this app. Please fix the app to be compatible with iOS 9! I havent found any other app so customizable for what I need to do anywhere else. My workouts are NOT the same without this app! ************************ First off, I wanted an app that would detect my new Jarv BT heart rate monitor via my iPhone 5c, which this app does even though it is not listed as a supported device. I run on a trampoline right now and simply want to monitor my heart rate to keep it within a certain target range. I do not need GPS, an annoying voice telling me about intervals or yelling at me to train harder, ads or pop ups asking me to pay monthly or yearly, or displays of information I wont use. I also needed to be able to see the heart rate clearly display while working out. This app has everything I want and nothing I dont need. Since I am training within an extremely targeted, low-intensity heart rate range (the 180 method), I figured out that I can actually set the colored markers to numbers in my target range and monitor all the way from my low end to my high end. The little colored boxes also keep track of the exact amount of time I am in each range so I can record the total precisely later in my MAF workout training app. I figure I will probably adjust the number range a little as I get used to using the app, but it is great to see exactly where I am at any time. I have only worked with the app and the heart rate monitor for a couple of days now, and dont have much more to say at this time other than it is great to finally have an accurate reading customizable to the training range I need and without features I dont need.

Crashes, disrupts music, wants 2 access mic

At first they thought the app was really great but then, every time I would turn it on, or switch from this app to another app my music would stop playing. The first time I started the app, the app asked to access my microphone. Of course I clicked no but I suspect its still accessing my mic without my permission. Why does a heart rate monitor app need access to a microphone? The app started crashing in the middle of a workout so I would lose all the data. Not happy...

Last update fail!!

The app worked great until this last update, now I cant use the monitor and listen music at the same time with bluetooth headphones, music play at the speaker instead. please fix that!

Works well!

That app has always worked well for me – no problems. I also like the manual feature to calculate BPM. -1 star because the UI could use a refresh.

Not bad

Great app, does exactly what it says it does. Only thing that would make it perfect is if would save your workouts to be viewed later on.
